Girls at the Head of the Class
Read and react to the article on page #107 of your resource handbook "Girls at the Head of the Class"
According to the article girls are smarter than guys, i wouldnt disagree with that, if i was to copy somebodys answers and it was between a guys and a girls, Id pick the girls, hypothetically
I agree and I disagree. I think a lot of girls are motivated to get better grades in school. But also, the top couple of guys are ranked first in our junior class.
I think that it's good and proves that girls can do just as well in all fields as men. I think that most of the people in our school, the majority of the girls are sometimes smarter than the guys.
The article is very informative. I feel that in today's society men and women are farely equal. Aside from giving birth and breastfeeding men and women can do the same things
I think it's a good thing that women have changed ideals about school. As the article said, 15 years ago it wasn't expected of women to stay in school or go on to recieve a higher education. i think that has helped to motivate many people.
it's great that girls aren't like how they used to be. now they're motivated and getting a good education, which leads them to having good jobs. it says girls are smarter than guys, but i don't think thats necessarily true.
i think that its good that girls are now motivated to get a good education, instead of being the typical stay at home mom. However when it says girls are smarter than guys, i dont think thats always the case.
i think its good that girls are finally getting the credit that they deserve. i disagree when they say girls are smarter then guys, i dont think gender matters girl or guy if your smarter your smarter.
I feel this is more of an emotional issue and the tendencies of women. Women are obviously more sensative, and I think that effects how hard they work and what they strive for. Women are also becoming more independent, and the need for an education is immense.
I would disagree that girls are generally smarter than guys. I think most of these statistics would have other factors playing in; such as guys not caring for schooling as much due to sports or anything else.

anyways i would have to agree, i think girls are for the most part smarter than boys when it comes to school work, but i think when it comes to street smarts, and like hands-on activites guys tend to be a lot better.
i agree that girls are truely smarter than guys. they're alot more motivated, and try alot harder at what they do. some guys just seem to not care at all about their grades, and they just do whatever they want, and are happy with just getting by with just-passing grades
I think its good that people have gained different perspectives on women in the past years. I do think that girls can be smarter then guys because we seem to care more. However It can be equal, like sara said the top grades in our class is between guys.

i'm not surprised that girls are "smarter" than boys. they've come a long way from the stay at home mom.

I disagree with this article. Tere are plenty of guys who are good learners. Most of our top junior class students are guys.
