I think its obvious that if parents are more involved with thier children's academics that they will get better grades, it keeps their kids on track

I think that its true that if parents motivate kids and are involved with them it helps kids to achieve more for themselves. A lot of the time they dont want to dissapoint their parents so they do good.

Parents should at least be semi-involved in their child's school work. Maybe even keep up with the teachers. Students are then more motivated to please their parents. But also, if a parent rides their child too hard, I think it could have a negative affect on the student's grade.

When I was little, neither of my parents were active in my school. But that didnt stop me. I still managed to get around. My dad never was there for me when I needed him to be. And he still isnt. But my grades and school work are still good.

having parents involved in school generally makes the student do better in school. it helps the student learn good study habits, so they have better grades.

i think its obvious that if parents are more involved, their children will do better in school. However i agree with sara, if a student has too much pressure on them about their grades, it might have a negative effect.

i agree that if both parents are in the equation then a child will do better in school. but unfortunately that usually isn't the case now a days.

I've been getting throughout my entire academic career. I know that this is largely due to the fact that my parents have been very involved in my school work.

Casual help with schoolwork from parents can obviously improve a child's grades. It's when the parents begin pushing too hard because they want their child to be a prodigy of some sort that can lead to negative effects.

I think its true that if parents were more involved and pushing their kids to get good grades, it would deffinetley help. But on the flip side of that, my mom has never pressured me about school, and i have good grades, it depends on the determination of the kid.

i think it's true that kids would do better if parents were more involved in their childs schoolwork. kids may think that if their parents dont get involved, then they dont care, and then they think they can just do what they can to just get by in school.

I think its important for a parent to be involved with their childrens education. When the parents are involved it shows they care and this encourages us to try harder to please our parents. However if parents get too involved it can often be annoying, and students may not care anymore.
