This story reminded me of To Kill a Mocking Bird. It's ridiculous how race is still an issue in society. But it's really good how he still kept faith and still attempts to achieve his goals, even after everything he went through.

It disgusts me that there is still rascism in todays society. The girl who lied should feel ashamed with herself that she almost ruined this guys life. But I'm really happy for him and that he succeded.

I hate how racism is still a major factor in today's life. I cant stand liars either, just because of his past doesnt mean he commited such a terrible crime. Someone can do nothing bad in their entire life and one day commit a horrible act. However that doesnt mean they are innocent. I was very happy to see Marcus Dixon be released from jail early, while still recieving a scholorship. This is the type of athlete we should look up to. One who is willing to forget his past and make a bright future.

When I first started to watch the video, I immediately knew that it was a race issue just from the way it looked and when they said it happened in Georgia. I wasen't completely sure about his whole charge because of when they said that he had already had problems with the law regarding sex, but it was really disturbing to see how the reason he had gotten charged was so harshly was because of his race. I think my generation of teenagers right now is way more accepting of races than any other generation so far. I think that a lot of racist adults are just really immature. Although the story started out on a very bad note, it was nice to see the he succeded anyways and he becoming very succesful.
